About Tropicare
social responsibility
Tropicare® aims to ensure that, both in absolute and relative terms, fewer people become ill during their trip or holiday, and that there is increased awareness about the potential solutions for carefree and fun travel, without any illness or health disorders. Therefore, Tropicare® has a prominent informative role towards the general public about the potential risks at home and abroad, and the best solutions for carefree travel.
To fulfil that role optimally:
- Tropicare® provides services to distribution channels so that they can provide travellers with relevant information and add value to their own services;
- Tropicare® provides travellers with information via its website, and develops information materials that are available free at various distribution points;
- Tropicare® develops products for consumers so that they can travel protected, and remain adequately protected during their trip;
- Tropicare® advises and sells relevant third-party products, which protect travellers on their trip.
Tropicare® has committed itself to the global “Roll Back Malaria Campaign” by the World Health Organisation (WHO).Tropicare® supports the Transparent World Foundation. Via the Drive Against Malaria, this foundation is striving to achieve greater awareness about malaria and local help that works ( www. driveagainstmalaria .org). At local level, information is provided and mosquito nets and medicines are provided to the local population, particularly in Africa. You can support these projects by buying a Care Plus Mosquito Net .
A Net for a Net, You’re protected, they’re protected, by Tropicare®
For every Care Plus Mosquito Net sold, one mosquito net is donated to the local population in small-scale aid projects by the Transparent World Foundation. Another reason to take a Care Plus Mosquito Net along on your trip!If you want to become a donor, then look on http://www.transparantworld.org for more information.The originators of the Drive Against Malaria are Julia Samuel (Veronica, RTL-FM) and David Robertson. For years, they have been working selflessly for greater understanding of malaria, the infectious disease that makes 500,000,000 (!) people a year sick. It is the number one cause of death for children in Africa.
